Welcome to the JSC Property Investments Client Portal. By clicking “Accept & Continue” you agree to the following terms governing your use of this portal and the services provided through it. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding.
1. Parties
These Terms of Service are between you (the “Client”) and JSC Property Investments (“JSC”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a buyer’s agency operating in Queensland, Australia. By accepting these terms, you confirm you have read and agreed to them in full.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this portal. By accepting these terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Confidentiality
All reports, data, analysis, and communications accessed through this portal are strictly confidential and intended solely for the named client. You must not share, reproduce, distribute, or publish any portal content to third parties without the prior written consent of JSC Property Investments. This obligation survives termination of your portal access.
4. Not Financial, Legal, or Investment Advice
The information and reports provided in this portal are prepared for informational and general guidance purposes only. Nothing in this portal constitutes financial product advice, legal advice, tax advice, or investment advice within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) or the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth). JSC Property Investments does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). You should seek independent advice from a licenced financial adviser, solicitor, and/or accountant before making any investment decision. 5. Accuracy of Information
JSC Property Investments takes reasonable care to ensure the accuracy and currency of information provided in this portal. However, no representation or warranty, express or implied, is given as to the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of any information. 6. Privacy
Your personal information is collected, held, used, and disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the JSC Privacy Policy. We collect only what is necessary to provide our buyer’s agency services and will never sell your personal information to third parties. See the for full details.
7. Portal Access & Security
Your portal login credentials are personal and must not be shared with any other person. You are solely responsible for all activity conducted under your account. You must notify JSC Property Investments immediately at info@jscpropertyinvestments.com.au if you become aware of any unauthorised access to, or suspected compromise of, your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your portal access at any time if we reasonably suspect a security breach or misuse of the portal.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use this portal in any manner that is unlawful, harmful, or that interferes with its integrity or performance. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the portal or its underlying systems
Uploading malicious code or content
Using the portal to harass, defame, or harm any person
Using any automated means to scrape or extract data from the portal
9. Intellectual Property
All content, reports, analysis, methodologies, and materials produced by JSC Property Investments and displayed in this portal are and remain the intellectual property of JSC Property Investments, protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be reproduced, copied, adapted, published, or used for any commercial purpose without express prior written consent from JSC Property Investments. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use portal content solely for your own personal investment purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and other applicable Australian law, JSC Property Investments, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, information contained in this portal, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or property investment losses. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by the relevant legislation.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, our liability for a breach of a non-excludable guarantee is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having the service resupplied.
12. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute relating to these terms or your use of the portal, please contact us in the first instance at info@jscpropertyinvestments.com.au. We will endeavour to resolve the matter within 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved directly, either party may refer the matter to mediation before initiating formal legal proceedings.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia, and the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. Each party irrevocably submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and any courts competent to hear appeals from those courts.
14. Amendments
JSC Property Investments reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Where changes are material, we will notify you through the portal prior to the changes taking effect. Continued use of the portal after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you must cease using the portal.
15. Acceptance
By clicking “Accept & Continue” you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, that you have read and understood these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, and that you agree to be bound by them. Your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp in our system as a condition of portal access.

JSC Property Investments (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in an open and transparent way. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, hold, and disclose your personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”), the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”), and the Notifiable Data Breaches (“NDB”) scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act.
1. Who We Are
JSC Property Investments is a buyer’s agency and property investment services firm operating in Queensland, Australia. Our ABN and full contact details are available on our website at jscpropertyinvestments.com.au and upon request. We are an APP entity for the purposes of the Privacy Act.
2. What Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities. This may include:
Identity information: full name, date of birth
Contact information: email address, phone number, and postal address
Financial information relevant to property investment (e.g. income range, borrowing capacity, deposit amount) — collected only as reasonably necessary to provide our services
Property preferences, investment goals, risk profile, and search criteria
Portal usage data, including reports accessed, feedback submitted, and acceptance timestamps for these terms
Communications between you and our team via the portal, email, or phone
Any other information you voluntarily provide to us in the course of receiving our services
We collect only the minimum amount of personal information needed to carry out our functions. Where it is lawful and practicable to do so, we will give you the option to interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym.
3. How We Collect Your Information (APP 5)
We collect personal information directly from you wherever possible, when you:
Register for or log in to the JSC Client Portal
Complete a Client Brief Form or other engagement and onboarding documents
Communicate with us by phone, email, or through the portal messaging system
Attend meetings, strategy sessions, or consultations with our team
Engage us to search for, evaluate, or negotiate the purchase of a property
At or before the time of collection, we will take reasonable steps to notify you of the matters required under APP 5, including the purposes of collection and your rights under this policy.
4. How We Use Your Information (APP 6)
We use your personal information only for the primary purpose for which it was collected, or for a related secondary purpose that you would reasonably expect. Specifically, we use it to:
Provide buyer’s agency services, including property search, due diligence, negotiation, and acquisition support
Prepare property research, investment reports, and portfolio updates tailored to you
Communicate with you about properties, investment opportunities, and your account
Manage your client account and portal access
Process and administer our engagement agreement with you
Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
Improve our services, using de-identified or aggregated data only
Send you service-related communications (not unsolicited marketing without your consent)
We will not use your personal information for any purpose that you would not reasonably expect, and will not use it for direct marketing without your express or implied consent as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).
5. Disclosure of Your Information (APP 6 & APP 8)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties except:
Third-party service providers engaged to assist us in delivering our services (e.g. cloud storage, email delivery, software platforms) — these providers are bound by strict confidentiality obligations and may only use your information to provide services to us
Professional advisors such as solicitors, conveyancers, mortgage brokers, or financial planners — only with your prior consent
Regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, or courts where required or authorised by Australian law
Any other party where you have given express consent
We do not disclose personal information to overseas recipients unless we have taken reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is bound by privacy obligations at least equivalent to the APPs, or the disclosure is otherwise permitted under APP 8.
6. Data Quality (APP 10)
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect, use, and disclose is accurate, up to date, complete, and relevant to the purposes for which it is used. If you believe any information we hold about you is inaccurate or outdated, please contact us using the details below.
7. Data Storage & Security (APP 11)
Portal session data is stored locally on your device. Any personal information held by JSC Property Investments in our business systems is stored in secured environments. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These measures include access controls, secure credential management, and staff awareness obligations. When your personal information is no longer needed for any purpose for which it may be used or disclosed, and we are not required by law to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
8. Access & Correction (APP 12 & APP 13)
You have the right under APP 12 to request access to the personal information we hold about you. You also have the right under APP 13 to request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading. To make either request, contact us at info@jscpropertyinvestments.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge a fee for making an access or correction request, though reasonable costs of providing access may apply in limited circumstances. If we refuse your access or correction request, we will provide written reasons.
9. Cookies & Tracking
This portal does not use cookies or external tracking or analytics technologies. Portal state is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to advertising networks, social media platforms, or third-party analytics services.
10. Retention of Data (APP 11.2)
We retain personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Common retention periods include:
Client engagement records: 7 years from the end of the engagement (consistent with general limitation periods)
Financial records: as required under applicable taxation and corporate law
Portal access logs and acceptance records: for the duration of the client relationship plus 7 years
When information is no longer required to be retained, it will be securely destroyed or de-identified in a manner appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
11. Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB Scheme)
In the event of an eligible data breach under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) that is likely to result in serious harm to any individuals whose information is involved, we will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals as soon as practicable and in accordance with our obligations under the NDB scheme. We will provide a statement describing the breach, the types of information involved, and recommended steps affected individuals should take.
12. Complaints (APP 1.2)
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or otherwise mishandled your personal information, you may lodge a complaint by contacting us at info@jscpropertyinvestments.com.au. Please set out the details of your complaint in writing. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or legal obligations. Where changes are material, we will notify you through the portal prior to the changes taking effect. The current version and its effective date are displayed at the top of this policy. Continued use of the portal following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. You may request a copy of the current Privacy Policy at any time by contacting us.
